LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama head baseball coach Gary Rundles has announced the signing of outfielder John Mitchell who has spent the last two seasons at Meridian Community College.

Prior to playing two seasons at Meridian CC, he spent one season playing football for the University of Tennessee at Martin as a quarterback in 2020.

Mitchell has played in 71 games during his career at MCC with 201 at-bats. Mitchell has recorded 62 hits, 14 homers, 11 doubles, and one triple. The outfielder finished his career in Meridian batting .308.
