UWA Baseball Signs Bryce Newman

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama baseball has announced the signing of infielder Bryce Newman, who has spent the last two seasons at Lawson State Community College.
 
"Bryce is a soft handed middle infielder that plays the game with lots of energy and grit. He has a true passion for the game and will play an important role for our team," head baseball coach Gary Rundles said. "When you hear the word "dirt bag" you think of Bryce Newman,"
 
During the 2022 season, Newman had 51 hits including three homers, two triple, and five doubles. Newman scored 28 times and finished with a batting average of .271. He stole 12 bases during the season.
 
Newman was part of 14 double plays and finished the season with a fielding percentage of .981.
 
The Phenix City, Alabama native is a 2020 graduate of Glenwood School in Smiths Station, Alabama.
