Men's Basketball Picked 2nd in GSC, Lemons on Newcomer List

LIVINGSTON, Ala.- The University of West Alabama Men's Basketball team has been picked to finish 2nd in the Gulf South Conference Preseason Poll this year. 

Alabama Huntsville was picked to win the conference and received 10 first place votes and 142 points overall. The Tigers received 3 first place votes and 128 points overall.  

Transfer guard Jaylen Lemons was selected as a member of the GSC Newcomer watchlist. Lemons joins the Tigers from Flagler College where he averaged 15 points per game and 2.5 assists per game. Lemons will join a stout backcourt including returning starters Kuran Garner and Thaddeus Williams.  

The Tigers will open their GSC schedule against Montevallo inside Pruitt Hall Gymnasium on Monday November 27th. Tipoff is set for 7:30 pm.
