Tigers Earn No. 2 Seed in NCAA South Regional Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After winning the 2023 Gulf South Conference Regular Season Championship title and being named GSC Tournament Champions, the West Alabama men's basketball team received an automatic bid into the NCAA Division II South Regional Tournament.
 
UWA (26-5) enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed and will face the No. 7 Tuskegee (20-8) in the first round on Saturday. A time for the game has not yet been determined.
 
Nova Southeastern (30-0) out of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) enters as the No. 1 seed and is hosting the South Regional Tournament. The tournament will be held at Rick Case Arena in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
 
Nova Southeastern will face Miles (23-6). Miles won the automatic bid by winning the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championship Tournament and is the No. 8 seed.
 
Alabama Huntsville enters as the No. 3 seed and will face the No. 6 seed Embry- Riddle out of the SSC. Both schools received an at-large bid.
 
Two other GSC schools also received an at-large bid and will face each other in the first round. Lee (20-7) is the No. 4 seed and will take on the No. 5 seed West Georgia (20-9).
