Tigers Rank No. 17 in Final NABC Division II Coaches Poll

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama men's basketball team ranked among the top 25 in week 15 of the final National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Men's Basketball poll for the 2022-23 season. The Tigers finished ranked No .17 in the poll.

The Tigers are 26-5 overall. As a squad, UWA averages 73.2 points per game. The Tigers' defense leads the GSC, holding its opponent to 62.5 points per game. UWA's scoring margin is 10.7 points per game.

Shardarrion Allen leads the Tigers' offense with 13.9 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game. Justin Allison averages 13.8 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, and 3.1 assists per game. 
 
Terry Durham averages 12.5 points per game and pulls down 7.3 boards per game. Kuran Garner averages 11.8 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Postseason play continues for UWA as the Tigers enter the NCAA Division II South Regional Tournament as the No. 2 seed. UWA takes on the No. 7 seed Tuskegee in the first round of the tournament. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m. CT at Rick Case Arena in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
