LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama, under first-year head coach Eric Dubose, has announced the 2024 schedule. 49 games are slated to take place, with 28 scheduled at Tartt Field.

Fans can gear up for the 2024 Kickoff Dinner at the Bell Conference Center on Friday night, as the Tigers will do a jersey retirement celebration for former UWA standout and current member of the Washington Nationals in Tanner Rainey. Additionally, the program will recognize recently retired UWA head coach Gary Rundles.

The event starts at 6 p.m. from the Bell Conference Center. You can purchase tickets by clicking here.

UWA will start the year with an eight-game home stand, beginning with a four-game, three-day series with the University of Missouri at St. Louis being the first visitor to Tartt Field in 2024. The series starts on Friday, Feb. 2 with a single game at 1 p.m., followed by a doubleheader the next day at 11 a.m. The finale happens Sunday at noon.

The following weekend will see Kentucky State come to Livingston for a three-game series on Feb. 10-11.

The season-opening home stand concludes on Tuesday, Feb. 13 with a non-conference matchup with Montevallo at 4 p.m.

Gulf South Conference action begins with a trip to Union on Feb. 16-17, but the Tigers are right back home on Feb. 21 to start a quick four-game home stand with a midweek bout with Tuskegee.

UWA will next host West Florida at home for a GSC series on Feb. 23-24.

After the quick four-game slate of games at home, nine of the next 12 are on the road for the Tigers, starting with a trip to Spring Hill on Feb. 27.

Following a three-game series with Auburn Montgomery over the weekend of March 1-2, the road swing ends at Tuskegee March 5.

Valdosta State will await the Tigers when they return to Tartt for a three-game series on March 8-9, but UWA will add more bus miles with back-to-back trips to Mississippi. The team's first stop will be in Laurel at Southeastern Baptist on March 12 before heading to Delta State on March 15-16.

The pendulum swings back to West Alabama's favor at the end of the month, as eight of the next nine games will be home games, starting with Columbus State on March 19.

UWA will next host West Georgia in a GSC series over the weekend of March 22-23. Following a quick trip to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to play William Carey, the Tigers will be back home the following weekend, March 29-30, to host Mississippi College.

As the calendar shifts to the month of April, and after a home date with Southeastern Baptist on April 2, the Tigers hit the road again with a three-game series with Lee (April 5-6).

The next week, the Tigers will play back-to-back midweek contests, first at Columbus State on April 9. The next day, UWA will host William Carey at Tartt Field.

After nearly a week off, UWA will travel to Montevallo for a non-conference contest April 16.

The Tigers' final home stand of the season will occur April 19 to 23, starting with a GSC series with Alabama Huntsville on April 19-20. The home finale will happen April 23 against Spring Hill.

The regular season finale will happen on the road for the Tigers, as they make the short trek to Shorter April 26-27.

The 2024 GSC Championship will begin on Friday, May 3, and run through Tuesday, May 7, from Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama. The top-eight teams in the league will qualify for the double-elimination tournament.
