HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of West Alabama cross country teams competed at the Charger XC Invitational on Saturday, with the men's team finishing 23rd and the women's team placing 29th overall.
In the men's 8000m race, West Alabama scored 635 points, led by a solid run from
Gary Mata, who finished with a time of 26:01.6. Behind him,
Jentzen Moore crossed the line at 25:40.6, helping the Tigers place ahead of Trevecca Nazarene and Reinhardt.
On the women's side, West Alabama tallied 935 points in the 6000m race.
Augusta Arnold led the Tigers at 25:43.6, while teammate
Jordan Conner followed closely at 27:13.6. The women's team finished just behind Shelton State Community College in a competitive field.
