LIVINGSTON, Ala. - With one Rodeo left in the calendar year, the University of West Alabama Rodeo teams remained in the top-15 in this week's NIRA standings.
After the results at the Southern Arkansas Rodeo, the men's team is now ranked 10th with 2,030 total points while the women's team is ranked 13th with 963.3 total points.
Individually,
Tanner Brown continues his remarkable season as the senior remains in the top-10 in the All-Around rankings, coming in at No.9 this week. The Tigers have been strong in the Team Roping Event this year, with
Cooper Cowan leading the way, ranking second in the country with 470 points.
Clarke Gordon finds himself right outside of the top-10, sitting 11th in the event with 300 points. In the Tie Down Roping,
Stone Reeves is seventh in the nation with 385 points while Brown ranks 13th and
Kota Wilhite sits 20th.
On the women's side,
Ashley Henderson remains the head of the pack as the graduate student ranks third in the country in the Breakaway Roping event with 425 points.
Sydney Poole is also nationally ranked in the event, coming in at No.22 with 203.3 points.
Sarah Curl and
Katelyn Carney round out West Alabama in the individual rankings, with Carney sitting in 24th in the Barrel Racing event and Curl being ranked 25th in the Goat Tying.
West Alabama will now get a month off before returning to action on November 14 for Murray State's Home Rodeo.
