LIVINGSTON, Ala. - With another semester in the books, the University of West Alabama Athletic Department is pleased to announce the 2024 Fall Graduation Scholar-Athlete Medallion recipients.
A total of 57 undergraduate Student-Athletes and nine current or former Graduate Student-Athletes walked the stage this past Thursday and Friday, with 32 of them claiming a Scholar-Athlete Medallion.
"Very proud of each student-athlete that graduated," said Interim Director of Athletics
Brett Gilliland. "This is the culmination of a lot of hard work throughout their time here. Earning a degree is the number one goal for each student-athlete that comes to UWA and to see it come to fruition for so many is extremely rewarding."
To earn a Scholar-Athlete medallion, a student-athlete must have completed her/his eligibility as a Tiger Student-Athlete and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or better.
