Softball Releases 2025 Schedule

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - With the 2025 season looming, the University of West Alabama Softball program released their 2025 Spring schedule on Monday.

West Alabama enters their 2025 campaign after winning 34 games in 2024, making an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. 

The Tigers will officially kick off their 2025 season in Gulf Shores, Alabama for the Gulf Shores Tournament which is set to begin on January 31 before concluding on February 2. After spending opening weekend in Gulf Shores, UWA will then head to the Sunshine State to wrap up the beginning of their non-conference schedule. West Alabama is slated to play three straight double headers in back-to-back-to-back days against Tampa, Saint Leo, and Florida Southern, beginning on Friday, February 7.

The Tigers will open up their conference schedule on February 15 and 16 with a three-game series against Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. On February 21, UWA will finally make their return to the UWA Softball Complex, opening up their home schedule against AUM for a three-game series. A weekend later, the Tigers will continue their home slate with a series against Christian Brothers before getting back on the road the following weekend and opening up the month of March with a matchup against Valdosta State. After their series with the Blazers, a trip to Montevallo awaits West Alabama, kicking off a series against the Falcons on March 14. 

To conclude the month, the Tigers will face off against a mix of GSC and PBC opponents with series' against Columbus State, Delta State, Georgia Southwestern, and Union all on the docket with the matchups against the Statesmen and the Bulldogs residing in Livingston. 

UWA will begin the month of April on the road, taking trips to Nashville, Tennessee and Pensacola, Florida for three-game series' against Trevecca Nazarene on April 5 and 6 before contests with West Florida on April 12 and 13. After the six-game road trip, West Alabama will make their way back home for a four-game homestand against Miles on April 16 and a weekend series against Lee, beginning on April 18. To wrap up the regular season, the Tigers will take the three-hour trip to Huntsville, Alabama for a series against the Chargers, beginning on April 25.

The Gulf South Conference Championships will take place at Choccolocco Park on April 30 through May 3.
