TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its year-end national rankings on Wednesday. For the University of West Alabama,
Lucas Hammond and
Jacob Tapia were recognized in the individual rankings.
Both Hammond and Tapia finished 35th in the Division II doubles rankings. The duo was the head of the doubles lineup for the Tigers, and they posted a 10-5 overall record. In Gulf South Conference play, they recorded a 6-2 record at the top flight.
"They are really good at doubles, but there's many ways to play doubles. They complement each other. Their skill set, especially at the net, and personality is what set us up for success this season," said head coach
