LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama Tigers men's soccer team is back on the road for a key Gulf South Conference stretch, facing Christian Brothers Buccaneers on Friday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Sunday afternoon match against Union Bulldogs men's soccer at 3:30 p.m.

The Tigers enter the weekend 3-3-2 overall and 3-1-1 in GSC play, currently sitting second in the league standings.

West Alabama has found its rhythm on offense, scoring 13 goals through eight matches while allowing just 12. The Tigers are averaging 1.63 goals per match and holding opponents to 1.50. They've also outshot opponents in efficiency, boasting a 45.1 percent shot-on-goal rate.

Leading the charge is David Nunez, who has tallied seven goals and one assist on 24 shots with a .542 shots-on-goal percentage. Ronny Wakelin has added a team-best five assists, while Harrison Page has recorded a goal and two assists. Defensively, Charlie Walker has logged 720 minutes in goal with a 1.50 goals-against average and 26 saves.

Christian Brothers comes into Friday's match with a 5-2-1 record and sits fifth in the conference. The Buccaneers are averaging over two goals per game and are led by Juan Minguez Malonda with four goals and two assists. The Tigers will need a strong defensive showing to slow down an attack that has put up 15 goals in seven matches.

Union (2-3-3, 1-2 GSC) rounds out the weekend for UWA. The Bulldogs have netted 12 goals this season but have allowed 15. Noel Pataki leads Union with three goals and one assist, while goalkeeper play will be critical for both sides in what could be a tightly contested conference matchup.

UWA will look to build on its early-season momentum and strengthen its standing in the GSC race with two important matches away from home.
