LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Football's Elijah Guyton and Austin McCready were named Don Hansen Honorable Mention All-Americans on Thursday.

Guyton adds this honor after being named a D2CCA Second Team All-American on Wednesday. McCready adds this Honorable Mention nod to his resume that includes a First Team All-GSC and All-Region selection. 

As West Alabama's Placekicker, Guyton was near perfect on his Field Goal attempts, converting on 11-12 attempts. The Redshirt Junior's only miss of the year came in fashion of a block in the season opener against Fort Valley State. Guyton led the team and ranked third in the GSC with 70 total points on the year, putting him amongst the nation's best specialists.

For McCready, he was masterful as the Tigers' punter. The senior recorded 42 punts for 1,843 yards, averaging 43.8 yards per punt. West Alabama's punt unit recorded a net punting mark of 40.88 which ranked top-five in the country this season. McCready pinned opposing teams within their own 20 on 13 different occasions, while registering seven punts of 50 or more yards.

With recognitions and awards continuing to flow in for Guyton and McCready, UWA proved to have one of the top special teams units in the country in 2025.
