LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Football program announced the signings of 16 new members to their Football Family on National Signing Day.

All 16 signees signed to join the Tigers before National Signing Day on February 4.

Devan Drennan - Co-Lin CC | Offensive Lineman | 6'4" | 285 LB

Starting JUCO Offensive Lineman for two years… Anchored a Co-Lin offensive line that led the Wolves to 227.8 rushing yards per game in 2025…Helped lead Co-Lin to an 8-2 record and a South Divisional Championship.

Cameron Joseph - Holmes CC | Wide Receiver | 6'0" | 180 LB

Starting Wide Receiver for Holmes CC in 2025… Played nine games in 2025… Recorded 32 catches, 247 receiving yards, and two touchdowns.

Kebian Gilmore - Holmes CC | Linebacker | 6'0" | 225 LB 

Starting Linebacker for Holmes CC in 2025… Played in all nine games in 2025… Recorded 81 total tackles, averaging 9.0 tackles per game… Recorded two fumble recoveries.

David Vaughn - Georgia Military | Kicker | 5'10" | 165 LB

Played for Valdosta State in 2024 before transferring to Georgia Military College in 2025… Made 31 PATs this past season.

Derick Shanks Jr. - Dodge City CC | Running Back | 5'11" | 220 LB

Played in nine games across two seasons with Dodge City CC… Rushed for 517 yards in 119 attempts in 2025, averaging 73.9 yards per game… rushed for 60+ yards in five of seven games.

Madixx Morris - Northwest Missouri State | Wide Receiver | 6'0" | 192 LB

Played in all 12 games last season with Northwest Missouri State… Recorded 24 catches for 250 yards… Averaged 20.8 yards per game.

Dakarai Shanks - Troy University | Running Back | 5'10" | 220 LB

Redshirted at Troy last season… Competed for Spain Park High School… Three-Star HS recruit per On3 and 247Sports…Ranked as the No. 58 player in the state of Alabama… Led Spain Park to their first undefeated regular season in school history in 2024… Rushed for 1,248 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Chandler Wilson - UL Monroe | Tight End | 6'4" | 240 LB

Redshirted at UL Monroe in 2024… Three Star HS recruit in the Class of 2024… Recorded 13 receptions for 143 yards and three touchdowns as a blocking Tight End.

Beau Cochran - Tuscaloosa Academy | Running Back | 5'10" | 190 LB 

Played Running Back and Defensive Back for Tuscaloosa Academy… Recorded 25 carries, 123 yards, and two touchdowns in the backfield… 18 receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns… Totaled 578 all-purpose yards in 2025 as a High School senior… 91 total tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, and one interceptions as a DB in 2025.

Taeshawn Clark - Tusculum | Defensive Lineman | 6'3" | 260 LB 

Played in 13 games across two seasons at Tusculum… Totaled 21 total tackles and 3.5 Tackles for loss… Forced two fumbles.

Javen Mallett - Mississippi Delta CC | Linebacker | 6'2" | 205 LB 

Played in nine games with Mississippi Delta… Totaled 30 tackles and 1.0 sack in 2025.

Legend Doggett - LaGrange | Defensive Back | 6'1" | 180 LB

Played in all 12 games for LaGrange in 2025… Recorded 37 total tackles, four interceptions, and 10 pass breakups… Recorded two interceptions against Belhaven and Huntingdon… Has also played for Division I Coastal Carolina in his collegiate career.

Luther Richesson - Central Arkansas | Quarterback | 6'3" | 225 LB 

Played in five games for Central Arkansas in 2025… Recorded a stat line of 61-98, six Passing TDs, 726 Passing Yards, and three interceptions… 1x UAC Offensive Player of the Week winner… Previously played for Golden West JC and Cincinnati.

Joshua Singleton - IMG Academy | Offensive Line | 6'4" | 340 LB

A three-star Interior Offensive Lineman from IMG Academy… Ranked No. 181 in the State of Florida… Led IMG Academy to a 9-0 record and the No. 7 ranking in the nation.

Nate Thomason - Memphis | Linebacker | 6'2 | 207 LB

Played in five games as a redshirt freshman with Memphis in 2025… Was a part of the 2024 Memphis team that went 11-2 and defeated West Virginia in the Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl… Three-Star High School Recruit… Ranked No. 54 in the state of Alabama by 247Sports… Tallied 141 total tackles, 27 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and three forced fumbles as a Senior at Helena High School.
