LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Athletics Department is heartbroken by the passing of UWA Football Alumni Jordan Jones. The Homegoing Services for Jones has been disclosed and the Jones Family invites and encourages the UWA Family to attend.
Jones was a member of the West Alabama Football program from 2015-2019. Jones is well known as one of the greatest Defensive players in Program history as he totaled 211 tackles, 43 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, and five forced fumbles throughout his UWA career. In 2019, Jones was named to West Alabama's All-Decade team for his impact on and off the field.
"The UWA family is heartbroken with the tragic passing of Jordan Jones," said Director of Athletics Brett Gilliland. "He came to UWA as a freshman and gave his entire college career to this program. The impact he made within the football program, University, and community is immeasurable. He embodied everything we preach and left as a graduate, a champion, and a team captain.
