LIVINGSTON, Ala. - After a successful 2025 campaign that ended in the NCAA South Region Tournament, the University of West Alabama Women's Tennis team has been selected as one of seven teams to compete for the Division II Indoor Championships.
The Championships are slated to take place in February in Indianapolis with the Tigers being one of two GSC teams to receive an invitation.
The top seven teams from the 2024-25 Final ITA Division II National Rankings will receive an invite. In the case of a decline, the next team in the rankings is selected until the field of eight is solidified.
Alongside West Alabama, the top seven teams from this past season are: Barry, Nova Southeastern, Midwestern State, North Georgia, Flagler, and West Florida.
"Our Women are excited for this event," said head coach Jeff Beaman. "We do not focus on rankings but more on winning Championships."
The full bracket will be released by the ITA once all of the invitees have accepted their invitations.
The Tigers are slated to return stars, Alexa Milliam and Valentina Mutilba for the 2026 season, while adding a handful of impact players through the portal.
