LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Football team had two representatives on the CSC Academic All-District team with Barrett Cain and Elijah Guyton receiving honors.
To be selected to the CSC Academic All-District team, a student athlete must hold a minimum GPA of 3.5 and compete in 90 percent of the games or start in 66 percent for the year.Â
Cain was a starter on the offensive line for the Tigers all season. The sophomore transferred in from Mississippi College in the offseason and immediately made an impact for UWA, helping West Alabama to 198.6 rushing yards per game which led the GSC. In the classroom, Cain accumulated a 3.83 GPA as an Exercise Science major.
Guyton's trophy case for 2025 continues to grow by the week as the redshirt junior adds a CSC Academic All-District selection to his impressive resume. The Kicker was named a Second Team All-American, First Team All-Region, and First Team All-GSC selection after converting on 11-12 Field Goals in the 2025 season. In the classroom, the Placekicker compiled a 3.88 GPA as a Business Management and obtained his Bachelor's Degree in December.
Guyton will move on to the CSC All-American ballot which will be announced on January 27.
