BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Men's and Women's Track and Field teams turned in four top-five finishes at the UAB Green and White Invite at the Birmingham Crossplex on Saturday.

The quartet of Dedric Hicks, Gary Mata, and J'Da Williams all secured top-five finishes in their respective events, while 14 Tigers set new Personal Records.

Hicks finished second in the Shot Put event with a 16.59M throw while Mata secured fourth place placements in the One Mile and 3000m events with times of 4:20.75 and 8:44.40. Williams turned in the 19th best time in the country in the 60m event, crossing the finish line in a blistering 7.52 seconds.

For the remainder of the Meet, the following Tigers set new PRs:

• Braxton Williams: 7.05 in 60m event
• D'Kota Hudson: 7.95 time in 60m event
• Jalen Green: 8.63 time in 60m Hurdles
• Jocelyn Randle: 25.52 time in 200m event
• Tyrese Pitts: 50.75 time in 400m event
• Landon Laphand: 51.01 time in 400m event
• Kilaya Lucien: 58.65 time in 400m event
• Jocelyn Randle: 59.32 time in 400m event
• Rita Walker: 11:01.22 time in 3000m event
• Jonathan Phillips: 15:42.39 time in 5000m event
• Avery Peterson: 13:26m throw in Shot Put event
• Jamar Bankhead: 16:00m throw in Weight Throw

West Alabama will be back in action next Saturday for the Samford Open at the Birmingham Crossplex.
