LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Softball's Eleanor De Block was named the GSC Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday after a spectacular week in the circle.
De Block earns her second GSC Pitcher of the Week award in the 2026 season after going 3-0 last week, with wins coming against Columbus State and Lee.
In three starts on the week, De Block pitched 20.0 innings and only allowed one earned run, accumulating a 0.53 ERA, while striking out 18 batters. In Game Three against the Flames on Sunday, the righty recorded seven strikeouts, pushing her over 300 career strikeouts.
On the year, De Block is now 18-8 with a 1.77 ERA. The senior has registered 130 strikeouts which ranks fourth in the GSC and is holding opposing batters to a .175 batting average which leads the conference.
De Block and the Tigers are set to begin an eight-game homestand today with a 2:30 p.m. doubleheader against Georgia Southwestern.
