Volleyball Releases 2026 Schedule

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Volleyball program released their 2026 schedule on Tuesday.

The Tigers enter year two of the head coach Ed Allen era in 2026. In Allen's first year with the program in 2025, West Alabama won nine more matches than the year before, including a six-win improvement in conference play.

UWA will kick off their 2026 campaign with a pair of invitationals on the road, beginning with the Bobcat Classic, hosted by Georgia College & State on August 28 and 29. During the weekend, the Tigers will open up the season against, host, Georgia College & State before ending the day with a matchup against Albany State. To end the invitational, West Alabama will square off against Carson-Newman and Southern Wesleyan.

UWA will begin the month of September with the Reddie-Tiger Invitational, hosted by Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. The Tigers are slated to play LeMoyne-Owen and Henderson State on September 4, before closing out the weekend with matchups against Texas A&M International and Erskine on September 5.

Three days later, on September 8, the Tigers will officially open up their home schedule as they're set to host the UWA Invitational. West Alabama will host Albany State, United States Sports Academy, Talladega College, and Miles on Tuesday, September 8 and Thursday, September 10.

After the Tigers conclude the UWA Invitational, they will get eight days off before opening up GSC play on Friday, September 18 against Mississippi Christian, formerly known as Mississippi College. The matchup against the Choctaws will be the beginning of a four-match home GSC stand with contests against Union, AUM, and Valdosta State to follow. To end September, West Alabama will go on the road to play Christian Brothers on September 29.

To kick off the month of October, UWA will be on the road for contests against Montevallo, UAH, and Miles, before returning home on October 9 and 10 for battles against Trevecca Nazarene and Lee. After a weekend at home, the Tigers will get back on the road for a four-match road trip, featuring contests against Union, Mississippi Christian, Valdosta State, and AUM. To end the month, West Alabama will host Christian Brothers on October 27 and UAH on October 30.

To wrap up the regular season, West Alabama will head to Tennessee for matchups against Lee and Trevecca Nazarene on Nov 6-7. The GSC Tournament is scheduled for November 10-15.
