LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2025 Academic All-District Teams on Tuesday, Dec. 16, and four members of the University of West Alabama volleyball program earned recognition for their combined excellence in the classroom and on the court.
The Tigers honored on the Academic All-District Team include:
Maggie Roddam: 4.00 (Pre-Pharmacy/Chemistry)
Katerina Korre: 4.00 (Psychology)
Cadence Goeden: 3.88 (Conversation & Field Biology)
Gracie Pierscinski: 3.79 (Exercise Science)
Roddam anchored the UWA defense throughout the season, totaling 207 digs and serving as one of the team's most reliable back-row contributors. Korre proved to be a two-way standout, leading the Tigers with 276 digs while also ranking third on the team with 225 kills from the opposite position. Goeden paced West Alabama offensively, finishing fourth in the conference with 305 kills and leading the Tigers in that category for the season. Pierscinski added valuable production at the net, closing the year with 72 kills and 57 blocks.
The quartet's recognition highlights the volleyball program's commitment to excellence both academically and competitively, exemplifying the standard upheld by the University of West Alabama. With a strong core returning, the Tigers look ahead to the upcoming season focused on continued growth and sustained success on and off the court.
