Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - UAH's Seab Webster and Tanner Finley combined for 30 points, converting 10-of-15 three-pointers as the Chargers defeated the Tigers 77-57 in Gulf South Conference men's basketball action at Spragins Hall on Saturday.
The Chargers (5-3, 2-1) rebound from a two-game skid, claiming their second GSC win, while the Tigers (4-4, 0-3) drop their third straight conference matchup.
"Coming into this game, we knew we had to defend the three-point shot, but we just didn't get it done," UWA head coach
Allen Sharpe said. "We put a lot of emphasis on defending, and we know how important it is to our success, so we just have to stay at it."
After jumping out to an early 4-0 lead, West Alabama allowed six unanswered points as Alabama-Huntsville seized its first lead of the day three minutes into the contest.

UAH's Collin Langley responded with field goals from the paint and beyond the arc, giving the Chargers a 21-16 lead with seven minutes to play before the break.
Finley hit a trey to extend Alabama-Huntsville's lead to six with three to play, helping the Chargers take a two possession advantage into the intermission, leading the Tigers 34-29.
The Chargers continued building on their success, opening the second half with a 13-2 scoring run and keeping the Tigers without a field goal for the first eight and half minutes to construct a 49-32 lead.
Falling behind by as much as 19 midway through the half, West Alabama put together an 8-0 run to cut the deficit back to 55-44 at the nine-minute mark.
UWA shaved the UAH lead down to as little as eight, but the Chargers held strong, grabbing their second league win with a 75-57 home-court victory.
Lane led the Tigers both offensively and defensively, totaling 15 points and 10 rebounds. Lane finished 5-of-8 from both the field and the line.
Toni Kumanovic posted nine points, followed by
Sean Cranney with eight. Cranney added three steals in the loss.
Webster led the Chargers on both sides of the court, grabbing 20 points and 12 rebounds in the contest. Kip Owens added 16 points, going 3-of-6 from the field and 100 percent from the free throw line. Off the bench, Finley contributed 14 points, converting 5-of-5 field goals, four of which were good for three points.
The Tigers will continue on the road, taking on Auburn-Montgomery on Dec. 29. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
