Tigers Ranked 11th in D2Football.com Preseason Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Coming off its best season in over 40 years, the University of West Alabama football team is ranked No. 11 in the 2018 D2Football.com Preseason Top 25 and has two preseason All-America selections by the publication.
 
Tiger offensive tackle Brandon Anderson and linebacker Terry Samuel are both preseason second-team All-America choices. Anderson is a 6-foot-3, 285-pound junior from Shades Valley (Ala.) High School and Samuel is a 6-2, 193-pound senior from T.R. Miller (Ala.) High School.
 
Voted the Gulf South Conference preseason favorite by league coaches, West Alabama is one of three GSC teams in the D2Football preseason poll. West Florida is ranked No. 3 and West Georgia No. 21.
 
Minnesota State is ranked No. 1, followed by defending national champion Texas A&M-Commerce, West Florida, IUP and Northwest Missouri rounding out the top five. To see the poll in its entirety, go HERE.
