Tigers Ranked 20th in Latest D2SIDA National Poll

LIVINGSTON, Ala.– The West Alabama Men's Basketball team has made waves in the regional poll all season, but thanks to an 11-game winning streak the Tigers have reached 20th in Week 13 of the D2SIDA poll.

UWA (20-5, 15-3) is up to 20th in the poll after quietly being ranked 24th last week in the poll voted on by college Sports Information Directors around the country. West Alabama is the only Gulf South Conference school ranked inside the top 25.

The Tigers have been in the Top Ten of the D2SIDA South Region Poll and reached third in that poll this week for the first time this season.

Saturday's opponent Valdosta State (20-5, 13-4) received six votes in the poll. The Blazers and Tigers are scheduled to meet Saturday in Pruitt Hall Gymnasium with the conference regular season title on the line in Livingston, Alabama. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.
