Orr, Jackson and Dunham Joining Tiger Football

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama is picking up a trio of four-year transfers that will be joining the Tigers for the 2019 season.
 
Signing scholarships to come on board at UWA are wide receiver Jerrick Orr, kicker Tre Jackson and long snapper Michael Dunham. Orr is transferring from Southeast Missouri, Jackson from Gardner-Webb and Dunham from Delaware State.
 
From Aberdeen, Mississippi, the 5-foot-11, 195-pound Orr played in 11 games at Southeast Missouri last season and was third on the team in receiving with 31 receptions for 545  yards and two TDs. He averaged 17.6 yards per reception.
 
Orr also played at Northwest Mississippi Community College, where he had 41 receptions for 543 yards and seven TDs as a sophomore. He had 25 catches for 402 yards and three scores as a freshman. He was also named to the 2016-17 MACJC All-Academic Team.
 
As a prep player at Aberdeen High School Orr had 73 receptions for 1,223 yards and 16 touchdowns, while also rushing for 206 yards and three touchdowns. He was a two-time first-team all-state selection and all-district MVP, while being named to the Super 22 and the 247sports.com "Top 30 in Mississippi" lists.

Jackson made 6-of-8 field goal attempts last season at Gardner-Webb with a long of 41 yards. He also averaged 62 yards per kickoff as a redshirt junior for the Bulldogs. At 5-foot-10 and 226 pounds, Jackson is from Newland, North Carolina and played at Avery County (N.C.) High School.
 
Jackson played quarterback at ACHS, passing for 1,999 career yards and 16 touchdowns. He completed 157-of-376 with 25 interceptions. He rushed 330 times for 1,1990 yards and 22 touchdowns. He was also credited with 38 tackles as a defender.
 
Dunham played in 20 games over the last two seasons as the long and short snapper for Delaware State. He signed with Delaware State out of Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida.
 
Two-year varsity letter winner at Buchholz, Dunham was the starting long snapper in each game of his junior and senior seasons. He helped lead the team to a 10-2 overall record, along with city and district championships as a junior. He was a member of group awarded "Overall Best Special Teams Unit" as a senior and helped lead BHS to an 8-3 record and district championship during that year.
