Georgia Sprinter Signs With UWA

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Sprinter Jonathan Davis, Jr.,  from Allatoona (Ga.) High School has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his track and field career at the University of West Alabama.
 
From Kennesaw, Georgia, the 5-foot-8, 135-pound Davis competes in the 200 and 400-meter sprints, the 110, 300 and 400-meter hurdles and the long jump.
 
Outdoor personal records for Davis include a 26.23 in the 200 and a 50.38 in the 400-meters. He posted a PR 16.36 in the 110m hurdles, a 40.72 PR in the 300 hurdles and a top time of 1:00.03 in the 400-meter hurdles. A leap of 19' 10" is his best effort as a high school long jumper.
 
Davis finished second in the 400-meter dash and fourth in the 300m hurdles at the 2019 Georgia High School Association 6A Region 6 Championships. He ran the second leg of the region champion 4x400 relay team, as well as the second-place 4x100 relay team at the Region 6 Championships.
 
Davis owns the Allatoona school record in the 400m hurdles (1:00.03). He also has posted the second-fastest time in Allatoona HS history in the 300m hurdles (40.72), as well as the fifth-fastest times in the 400 meters (50.38) and the 110m hurdles (16.36).
