Morgan Brown Hired as Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – As the University of West Alabama Women's Soccer Season prepares to get underway, Head coach Graeme Orr has added Morgan Brown to serve as his assistant coach.

"I am thrilled to be a part of this UWA family and very thankful for Coach Orr for giving me this opportunity," said Brown. "I am excited to start this new chapter in my life to learn and grow as not only as a coach but as an individual."

Brown, a native of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor's in Mathematics in 2018. After graduation, she served as an assistant coach at Mars Hill Bible School in 2018-19.

"Really excited to work alongside Morgan. Her enthusiasm and energy impressed me in the interview process," said Orr. "Alongside student assistant Ellie McKenzie, I believe we are very fortunate to have two young bright female coaches to help impact our season."

A midfielder as a player, Brown finished her career with five assists in 46 games for the Lions and served as captain of the team her senior year. She earned a spot on the GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2015 and 2016.
