Maya Schilling Called up to Gibraltar National Team

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Women's Soccer's Maya Schilling was called up to the Gibraltar National team this past week.

Schilling, a freshman for UWA, was initially promoted to Gibraltar this past October and received another call this past week.

The freshman joins Dior Wilson and Amy Denholm as players under the Sam Wilson regime to make their professional debuts.

Schilling competed for Gibraltar on February 21 when the team made history as they made their debut in the UEFA Women's Nations League. The 17-year old freshman played in the backline for Gibraltar and helped hold their opponent, Moldova, to one goal on the day.

After their debut on February 21, Gibraltar competed again on February 25 and are now slated to play in the March Internationals.
