Tiger Dip to 24th in AFCA Poll

WACO, Texas – A road loss at top-ranked Valdosta State did not drop West Alabama out of the American Football Coaches NCAA Division II Top 25 poll, but it did drop the Tigers four spots to number 24.

Valdosta State (3-0) remained atop the weekly poll after winning its 18th straight game. The Blazers are followed by Ferris State (3-0), Minnesota State (3-0), Tarleton (Texas) State (3-0) and Notre Dame of Ohio (3-0) to round out the top five. Twenty-three of the top 25 teams are undefeated.

West Alabama and Valdosta State are the only Gulf South Conference teams ranked in the top 25. West Georgia, West Florida and Delta State all received votes.

After two weeks away from home the Tigers (2-1) return to Tiger Stadium to host Tuskegee University (1-2). Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and tickets will be available at the gate for $15.
