Davonchae Bryant Transferring From UCF

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Defensive lineman Davonchae Bryant is transferring from Central Florida to West Alabama to finish his collegiate football career.

The 6-foot-7, 295-pound Pensacola (Fla.) High School product entered the transfer portal in early May after spending the last two years at Central Florida where he redshirted in 2018 and played in a reserve role last season. He earned a spot on the Spring 2019 UCF Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

Bryant was a three-star recruit following his senior season at PHS where he recorded 70 tackles, 15 for loss, seven sacks and three forced fumbles in just his second season of organized football. He had offers from nine FBS football programs before signing with the Knights.

A two-sport star at Pensacola High, Bryant averaged 19.3 points and 8.7 rebounds as a senior basketball player. He scored over 1,000 points, while collecting over 800 rebounds and almost 400 blocked shots during his high school hoops career.
