UNA Fall Classic Recap

FLORENCE, ALA – The University of West Alabama Women's Tennis team competed in the UNA Fall Classic on Saturday, Oct. 30^th and Sunday, Oct. 31^st at the UNA Varsity Tennis Courts.

The teams that competed during the weekend were Austin Peay State, Lipscomb, UWA, and North Alabama.

"We got some tough matches in against some good DI competition, some good wins and I feel some results could have been better. The good thing about this weekend was that it gives us things to work on to close out fall practice," head tennis coach Jeff Beaman said.

The format changed due to the weather on Friday and Saturday. The Tigers played two sets of doubles on Saturday and two sets of singles on Sunday.

Valeria Arevalo defeated Aleks Topalovic from Austin Peay State 7-5, 3-6, 11-9. Hardija Vidnere defeated Lee-Taylor Bishop from UNA 6-4 and 6-0. Valeria Arevalo defeated Nicole Reilly from UNA 6-2 and 6-1.
