Weldon Named Jack’s Player of the Week

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama women's soccer goalie Tabitha Weldon has been named Jack's Player of the Week based on her performance against Mississippi College in the first round of the GSC Championship Tournament on November 7. 

Weldon (7-5-4) recorded 10 saves in the victory over the Choctaws as she faced 34 shots in her 110 minutes of action. The Orange Park, Florida native has played and started in all 16 games this season. She has recorded 66 saves and has had nine shutouts. 

Weldon's dominating performance advanced the team to semifinals which will take place Thursday, November 11. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. against West Georgia at Ashton Brosnaham Park in Pensacola, Florida.
