TEMPE, Ariz. – Chris Bulus's 2020-21 season accomplishments continue to be recognized with the junior tennis player receiving 2021 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II All-American team honors. The reigning Gulf South Conference Tennis Player of the Year finished among the top 20 of the final ITA singles rankings.
"Chris had a lot of wins against top ranked opponents and an amazing year overall," said head tennis coach Jeff Beaman. "It is nice to see his achievements recognized."
Bulus ended the season ranked No. 4 in the country, 14-2 overall in singles play, and 9-1 against GSC opponents. He played all 16 matches at the No. 1 slot with a 12-4 record in doubles play and 8-2 in league play.
Along with being named GSC Tennis Player of the Year, he was also named to the All-GSC Men's Tennis Team and received player of the week recognition.
Three other GSC men's tennis players were honored by ITA, Yohan Nguyen and Florian Simbozel of Valdosta State University and Serdar Bojadjiev of the University of West Florida.
