UWA Track to Compete in Falcon Classic

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – West Alabama track and field returns to action in the Falcon Track and Field Classic at the Track and Field/Lacrosse Stadium in Montevallo, Ala. on Friday and Saturday.

The Tigers are expected to have 34 student-athletes compete during the weekend. The meet is not a rolling schedule and all events will start on time.

The first event is the decathlon starting at 9 a.m. on Friday. The Decathlon will wrap up the last five events on Saturday also starting at 9 a.m.

Field events will start on Friday with the long jump begins at 1 p.m and the last event will be discus at 3 p.m.

Saturday field events will start at 10 a.m. with shot put and triple jump followed by high jump and javelin.

Saturday's track events will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with the 5,000-meter run. The 4x400-meter relay will be the last running event and is scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m.
