Track and Field Results at Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays

STARKVILLE, Miss. – West Alabama's track and field competed in the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays on the campus of Mississippi State Friday and Saturday and had six top ten finishes and won two events.

"The men and women showed a lot of grit this weekend at the meet. I am very pleased with how they performed," head coach Kirby Patterson Walker said. "I look forward to seeing how they respond to the tough competition they will face next weekend.

Kaitlin Hill won the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.65 seconds which broke her own UWA school record that was set last weekend at the Falcon Classic. Brayden Harris, Decorius Murray, Demetrius Jackson, and Jaqaun Webb won the 4x200-meter relay by a time of 1:27.34.

Hill had a long jump of 6.15-meters which placed her second in the event and on the men's side Camrun Norman placed second in the long jump by jumping 1.99-meters.

Myflore Methelus placed second in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.89.

Annaya Chelcy, Kaylen Johnson, Hill, and Methelus placed fourth in the women's 4x100-meter relay.

The UWA track and field team returns to the track on Friday and Saturday at the UAB Spring Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
