Garner Named Jack’s Player of the Week

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama men's basketball guard Kuran Garner earned Jack's Men's Player of the Week based on his performances against Auburn Montgomery and Alabama Huntsville last week. Garner averaged 18.5 points and 4.5 rebounds over two games. 
 
The Huntsville, Alabama native hit the game-winning three at the buzzer beater to defeat Auburn Montgomery 66-65 on Jan. 18. He scored nine points and pulled down three boards. 
 
Garner posed a season-high of 28 points against Alabama Huntsville on Jan. 21. He also had six rebounds, four assists, and a steal. 
 
Garner averages 11.9 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game. 
 
UWA is 15-4 overall and 11-4 in GSC play. Kuran and the Tigers are back in action on Thursday as they head to Cleveland, Tennessee, to take on Lee University.
