Pyronneau and Hubert Set Personal Records, Tigers Collect Seven Top-10 Finishes

AUBURN, Ala. - The West Alabama men's track and field team posted seven top-10 finishes over the weekend at the Tiger Classic on Auburn University's campus at the Hutsell-Rosen Track.

Audrick Pyronneau had a dominating track performance, setting two personal records. He finished first in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:00.77. He also placed second in the 5000-meter run and stopped the clock at 15:08.90. Dancan Kibet also ran the 3000-meter run and placed fifth with a time of 9:17.88.

Matthew Brown and Gary Mata ran the 1500-meter run. Brown posted a seventh-place finish and stopped the clock at 4:19. 36. Mata finished 10th with a time of 4:30.97.

Dave Hubert set a personal record in the 800-meter run and stopped the clock at 2:04.79.

Two Tigers ran the 400-meter dash. Reed Robinson finished 18th with a time of 54.26. Donovan Dixon stopped the clock at 57.98.

Brayden Harris competed in both the short and long hurdles. Harris placed 11th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.48. He came in seventh in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.52.

Lawrence Walker Jr. competed in the 100-meter dash and crossed the line at 11.02. Walker Jr. finished 14th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.54.

Davaunce Norman and Caleb Vann were the only Tigers to compete in field events. Both competed in the long jump. Norman covered 6.37 meters and posted an eighth-place finish. Vann finished 12th with a leap of 6.07 meters.

The Tigers return to action on Friday as they compete in the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays at the Mike Sanders Track Complex in Starkville, Mississippi.
