Track and Field Collect Five Top-10 Finishes

CLINTON, Miss. – West Alabama men's and women's track and field teams competed in Mike McMillian Twilight Friday at James E. Parkman Track.

The Tigers walked away with five top-10 finishes.

Zaniya Rush competed in the 100-meter dash, finishing seventh stopping the clock at 16.06.

On the men's side, Devaunce Norman and Reed Robinson compete in the long jump. Norman placed sixth with a jump of 6.30 meters. Robinson was not far behind, with a jump of 5.91 meters, finishing ninth.Robinson competed in pole vault and cleared 3.80 meters, good enough for third place.

Gary Mata competed in the 1500-meter run, placing 10^th.

The Tigers return to action Thursday through Saturday for the Gulf South Conference Championship Meet.
