LIVINGSTON, Ala. - On Sunday afternoon, the NCAA announced that the University of West Alabama Football team have officially made the NCAA Football Playoffs as the three-seed in the Super Region two.
As the three-seed, West Alabama will host the first round of the Playoffs with a matchup against Lenoir-Rhyne set for Saturday, November 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.Â
The Tigers have only played the Bears twice in the past decade, with UWA winning both matchups. In 2017, West Alabama defeated Lenoir-Rhyne, 46-7, in Hickory, North Carolina before handing the Bears another loss in the following year, by taking a 36-32 win in Livingston.
This year, West Alabama finished the regular season with a 9-1 record, with notable wins over West Florida, Limestone, and North Greenville. For Lenoir-Rhyne, they concluded their regular season with a 9-2 record with notable wins over Tifton and Limestone.Â
The Tigers and the Bears will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
