LIVINGSTON, Ala. - With another win under their belt, moving their record to 5-0, the University of West Alabama Football remains ranked in all three of the Media Top-25 polls, coming within the Top-15 in each.
After a 52-44 road win over North Greenville this past Saturday, the Tigers are ranked 11th in the AFCA Coaches Poll, 15th in the D2Football.com Poll, and No. 8 in the FloCollege rankings.Â
Quarterback Spencer Arceneaux is off to a Harlon Hill caliber start as the senior has led UWA's offense to 39.4 points per game which ranks 11th in the nation. West Alabama is also averaging 429.4 yards per game, leading the GSC and ranking 29th in the country.Â
For Arceneaux individually, he sits within the top five in the country in six different categories. The Quarterback has accumulated 1,417 total yards and 19 total touchdowns through five games, putting him within the top-five in Division II in both statistics. 12 of Arceneaux's 19 touchdowns have been through the air which is eighth most in the country. The senior's seven touchdowns are also the eighth most in the nation. All in all, Arceneaux is responsible for 116 points this season and 23.2 per game which puts him third and fifth in the nation.
As we enter Week Five of the season, West Alabama is one of 16 undefeated teams remaining in Division II.Â
