LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Football program announced the signings of 27 new members to their Football Family on Wednesday as a part of 2025 National Signing Day.
Eight of UWA's new additions signed during the Early Signing period while 19 inked their name on Wednesday.
All 26 players are set to arrive on campus by the Fall, with some arriving in the Spring, as West Alabama Football enters a new era with newly minted Head Coach, Scott Cochran.
Yusaf Clark - Williamson High School | Linebacker | 6'0" | 195 LB
Clark is a three-star Linebacker, according to 247sport.com, earning an 84 grade. Clark recorded 314 total tackles in his High School career, registering 97 or more tackles in each of his last three seasons.
Elisha Jones III - Baldwin County High School | Defensive Line | 6'0" | 240 LB
Made 162 total tackles and 24.0 tackles for loss in his three-year High School career… Averaged 11.8 tackles per game as a senior… ASWA 6A All-State Honorable Mention
Shermar Elston - Mary G. Montgomery, Defensive Back | 6'2" | 175 LB
Played Wide Receiver and Defensive Back in High School… Made 30 tackles, 5.0 TFLs, 4 Pass Breakups, and blocked two kicks on the defensive side of the ball… Recorded 30 catches for 450 yards and five touchdowns, offensively in his senior season.
