LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama men's soccer team snapped a three-match losing skid by defeating Shorter, 2-0, in Gulf South Conference action Friday at Tiger Stadium on the UWA campus.
Evan Beutler scored unassisted at the 28:01 mark to provide all the scoring the Tigers would need.

Lavares Stone recorded five saves in the shutout for West Alabama.
West Alabama improved to 11-6 overall and 7-4 in the GSC with the win. The Tigers have already secured a spot in the GSC Tournament next week in Pensacola, Fla. The Hawks dropped to 4-12, 3-7 in the league.
UWA closes out its inaugural regular season by hosting Alabama-Huntsville (1-13, 0-10) Sunday at 1 p.m.
