UWA Volleyball Team of the Decade

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Seven players compose the University of West Alabama Volleyball Team of the Decade for the years 2010-19. With the exception of libero, the team was selected without regard to position.
 
The UWA Volleyball Team of the Decade includes some of the top record holders in program history as well as an All-American honoree, an All-Region selection, four All-Gulf South Conference picks and two GSC Freshmen of the Year.
 
Chanel Davis (2011-12) – All-GSC middle blocker … Posted 575 kills, 180 total blocks and 128 digs in two seasons with the program … Led team in kills (334) in senior season.
 
Taylor Donato (2016-19) – All-GSC outside hitter … Tallied program record 30 kills in match on Sept. 14, 2019 against Francis Marion … Seventh all-time in kills (1,095) … Fourth in program history in attacks (3,186) …  733 career digs … Ninth in block assists (171) and amassed 200 career total blocks.
 
Rebecca Johnson (2017-19) – A defensive specialist/libero, she finished her career second all-time in digs per set (3.78) and fourth all-time in digs (1,244) … Recorded the third best season in program history with 568 digs in 2019 … Totaled 258 assists and 64 service aces.
 
Yanesha Johnson (2013-16) – This outside hitter is fourth all-time in kills (1,165) and third all-time in total attacks (3,411) … GSC Academic Honor Roll … Posted 1,300 points, 728 digs and 129 total blocks. 
 
Alexis McHale (2008-11) – A setter, she is the  all-time program leader in assists (4,606) and fourth in assists per set (9.76) … Only player in UWA history with over 4,000 assists and the second to cross the 3,000-assist mark … GSC Freshman of the Year … All-GSC … Turned in two top five seasons as a setter with 1,382 (third) in 2009 and 1,382 (fifth) in 2008. 
 
Briana Sandifer (2014-17) – This outside hitter/middle blocker is the all-time program leader in kills (1,387) and attack attempts (3,982) … Ninth in career digs (934) and 10th in block assists (167) … All-Region … All-GSC … Posted third best season kills number with 452 in 2018 and sixth highest number of kills (444) in 2017.
 
Kassie Till (2017-18) – An All-American, All-Region and All-GSC setter … GSC Freshman of the Year … GSC Setter of the Year (2018) … Fifth all-time in assists (2,231) and assists per set (9.33) … Posted 1,261 assists in 2018, which was the seventh best season in program history.
