LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama Volleyball team released its 2021 schedule Wednesday afternoon, headlined by eight matches played in Livingston at Pruitt Hall Gymnasium, all of which are Gulf South Conferences competitions.

UWA will open its season on September 10 and 11 in Tyler, Texas, participating in the University of Texas at Tyler Tournament with games at noon and 4 p.m. on day one and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on day two. The opponents are to be announced.

The following weekend, September 17 and 18, the Tigers will travel to Milledgeville, Georgia, to participate in the Georgia College Tournament with opponents and times to be announced.

West Alabama will play in a third out-of-conference tournament on October 22 and 23 when it travels to Winter Haven, Florida, for the Sunshine State / Gulf South Conference Crossover. Again, opponents and times are yet to be determined.

The regular-season conference schedule consists of 16 matches in which each member institution will play each other at least once. Two-match travel series will be played Tuesday/Friday or Friday/Saturday.

UWA opens GSC play Tuesday, Sept. 23, at home against Mississippi College and will close the week on Friday, Sept. 24, versus the University of Alabama in Huntsville also at home.

The Tigers first road conference match will be Friday, Oct. 1, at Auburn University at Montgomery. The second game of the week will be played at the University of West Florida on Saturday, Oct. 2.

West Alabama will close the regular season on the road at the University of Montevallo and Alabama – Huntsville on Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov.13, respectively.

The GSC Championship will be Friday, Nov. 19, through Sunday, Nov. 21, and NCAA Regional dates are Thursday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 5.
